Anika is thrilled to continue her career at Beacon Law as an associate lawyer in our estate planning department. She first joined us as a summer student in 2024, then returned as an articled student in 2025. Anika understands that planning for the future can be a deeply personal experience, and she prioritizes trust, respect, and empathetic communication in all her relationships with clients.

Though Anika attended law school at the University of Alberta, she is no stranger to Victoria's legal community. Before law school, she worked as a litigation assistant at a firm downtown, and she credits those years for preparing her for a future in law. Throughout law school, Anika spent a summer working as a legal assistant for the BC Prosecution Service, interned at a criminal appeals firm in Edmonton, then joined us at Beacon Law for her final summer before graduation. Anika considers it a privilege to practise law in the same community she once supported in an administrative capacity.

Anika is a B.C. girl through and through. Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, she moved to the Island in 2016 and fell in love with its calmer pace of life. She spends her free time hiking, paddleboarding, and roaming antique stores for new (to her) treasures. She also loves all stages of analogue photography, including developing rolls of film at home.
